900M Serial Soldering Iron Tips Type

900M soldering iron tips is for Hakko soldering iron station at the beginning , and now there are many 900M solering iron tips made of different factories with different brands,such as AOYUE 900M soldering iron tip and BEST 900M soldering iron tips. They almost with the same use and compatible with each others, the only difference is they are different quality with different prices.

900M soldering iron tips have many types such as I type,B type,D type,C type,K type, below is the difference among them:

900M I type soldering iron tip is also called fine tip, it is suitable for soldering fine pitch or small gap compents. It can be also used when soldering bridge happens.

900M B type soldering iron tip is also called conical soldering iron tip with no direction, and all tip end can be used for soldering. It is suitable for general soldering regardless of the size of the solder joint.

900M D type soldering iron tip is suitable for rework components with large soldering area,thick terminal or large soldering pad which needing more solder when rework.

900M C type soldering iron tip is also called bevel soldering iron tip, it uses front bezel tip to solering components with large soldering area,or thick terminal,or with large soldering pad which need more solder. Soldering Iron Tips Types

Soldering iron tips come in many shapes and sizes and are used to transfer heat from the solder iron to the solder and connection. Copper or copper alloys are used in the tip core, for the metal’s heat conductive properties. An outer core of electroplated nickel protects the copper from sticking to solder. A tip’s shape, size and composition will affect performance, but it is also determined by the type of soldering work done, user preference and iron type.

About soldering iron tips, you can purchase individually, or in kits which include different lengths, tip diameters and shapes. But how many types of soldering iron tips there are and what types you need?
There are four main soldering iron tips are widely used:
1. Conical soldering iron tips: they are used for precision electronics work but can also be used for general purpose jobs. The pointed end allows easy heat direction and application accuracy, while the sides of the pointed shape can be used for wiring and general solder work.
2. Bevel solder iron tips : They are ground at an angle, providing a blunt surface for specialty electronics and wiring work.
3. Chisel soldering iron tips:They flat-ground on one side. Use chisel tips for electronics, general wiring and electrical work.
4. Screwdriver soldering iron tips: They have two flat edges and are similar in appearance to a flat-head screwdriver. Screwdriver tips are useful for making bigger solder joints for wire-to-wire and wire-to-surface work in larger electrical and electronics work.
5. Blade soldering iron tips.This is the most widely used soldering iron tip type.
6. Sharp-bent soldering iron tips.
7. Slot soldering iron tips.
